Summer Vacation is almost over, but progress still rolls along. We’ve gotten quite a few things done this month!

Backgrounds:

We’ve completed a few more backgrounds that will be shown in the final version of the game! We can’t show any previews of them for spoiler reasons, but we can gladly show this re-do of Skylar’s garden!

Since Skylar’s garden was one of the first backgrounds made for the game, it was due for an update to better fit the quality of the remaining backgrounds. Before it looked more like a field, this looks more like a garden they would be proud of!

P.O.V. Swap Sprites:

To help with the immersion of the P.O.V. swap sequences, we’ve programmed all the LIs to have their own corner sprite and now Alice has her own full body sprite that will be used as well!

While the scenes worked as they are in the current version of the demo, we quickly realized that the format would not work for future P.O.V. swap sequences. With this format, we will have more flexibility with how the scenes are presented and hope you look forward to unlocking those special scenes!

Bonus Menu Addition:

As some of you may have seen, we have a few pages in the bonus menu that cannot be accessed in the demo. One of these is the “extras” page, which has now been completed!

In this screen, you will be able to play through all the endings you’ve unlocked as well as playing through special bonus scenes that can only be seen once you’ve unlocked certain endings!

Another exciting thing we have in the works is an opening movie for the game! We’ve been going back and forth on whether or not we wanting Alice’s Reverie to have one, but now we can say that it will have one for sure!

Since we’re working on this alongside the game, it may take a while before it is completed. However, once it is done, we will be posting it for you to see on the game’s itch.io page as well as on our social media!

It’s been a busy month full of working towards some exciting aspects of the game, and we hope you look forward to each and every one of them!
